After SC relief to Vodafone Idea, Airtel to ring govt for AGR dues relief

Bharti Airtel will approach the government for reassessment and reconciliation of its adjusted gross revenues (AGR) dues, following a favourable order by the Supreme Court on a plea by Vodafone Idea earlier this week, a senior executive said Tuesday.

As per the government, the country’s second largest telco has pending AGR dues to the tune of ₹48,103 crore as on March 31 this year. The amount has swelled from the time of the Supreme Court order due to accumulation of interest. At the time of the order, Airtel’s dues as per Department of Telecommunications (DoT) stood at ₹44,000 crore,
