UPI QR codes surge to 67.8 crore, doubling in just 18 months
The UPI (Unified Payments Interface), which has changed the way transactions are done in India, has crossed 67.8 crore QR (Quick Response) codes on its platform at the end of June this year, more than doubling in 18 months, enabling customers to pay a whopping ₹143.3 lakh crore through it in the first half (H1) of 2025 (January-June), a 23% year-on-year (y-o-y) jump.
