India to overtake Germany to become third-largest economy in 2 years: Piyush Goyal
NEW DELHI: Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal said on Wednesday that India is poised to become the third-largest economy, overtaking Germany in the next two years, driven by the Centre’s transformative initiatives.
“I think at the core of the last 11 and a half years, it’s a journey of growth, to become the 4th largest economy in the world, and in another 2 years to become the 3rd largest economy, overtaking Germany. We are on a journey to become a $5 trillion economy, well on the path to achieve the mission of a $32 trillion economy by 2047,” Goyal said.
