The iPhone Air and Apple’s endless struggle with its ‘middle child’
If psychologists are to be believed, middle children have it tough. They’re not the golden firstborns or the pampered youngest — just kind of…there. WebMD says they feel overlooked, forgotten, maybe occasionally resentful.
Turns out, Apple’s got the same problem.
For years, the technology behemoth has been trying to give birth to the perfect “in-between” iPhone — one that’s not as expensive as the Pro, but cooler than the base model. First came the Mini, then the Plus, and now, the Air. Each was supposed to strike that perfect balance. Each, however, ended up stuck in the middle — overshadowed by its flashier and more affordable siblings.
