Tejas Networks wins DWDM capacity upgradation deal from PowerTel

NEW DELHI: Tejas Networks has won a software-defined network (SDN)-based DWDM deployment deal from PowerGrid Teleservices, which will see the homegrown telecom gear maker upgrading the latter’s capacity to 400Gbps.

The deal includes network design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning and integration of 400Gbps DWDM system at new greenfield sites and for the upgradation of existing links, according to a statement by Tejas on Monday.

The companies, however, did not disclose financial terms of the contract.
