Elon Musk’s xAI launches Grokipedia, an AI-powered encyclopedia; but it comes with a ‘Wikipedia’ disclaimer
Elon Musk’s Grokipedia is now live, the Tesla CEO announced on X (formerly Twitter). The platform, said to be an AI-generated encyclopedia rivals Wikipedia which Musk often criticized in the recent past for “editorial bias”. What caught users’ attention is that some results on the new platform appear to be adapted from Wikipedia.
Announcing the launch, the tech billionaire wrote “Grokipedia.com version 0.1 is now live.” “Version 1.0 will be 10X better, but even at 0.1 it’s better than Wikipedia imo,” he further stated.
