Amazon founder Jeff Bezos says ‘millions of people’ will be living in space by 2045—and robots will commute on our behalf to Moon

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos recently made a prediction wherein he painted an optimistic vision of humanity’s future. He said that millions of people will be living in space within two decades – by 2045 – while robots handle work commutes to the moon and other celestial bodies on human’s behalf.

“I don’t see how anybody can be discouraged who is alive right now,” Bezos told the audience during an appearance at Italian Tech Week 2025 and emphasised the opportunities ahead as technology accelerates.
