OpenAI’s ChatGPT Atlas emerges as a game-changer in browsing and it challenges Google. Know the key features of AI-powered browser
OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Atlas, an AI-powered web browser which is seen as a major step in the company’s quest to unseat Google as the main way people find information online. The company announced it in a livestreamed demo after teasing it earlier on Tuesday with a mysterious video of browser tabs on a white screen.
ChatGPT Atlas is available “globally” on macOS starting today, while access for Windows, iOS, and Android is “coming soon,” the company said. CEO Sam Altman described the launch as “a rare once-a-decade opportunity to rethink what a browser can be about,” positioning Atlas as more than just another browser.
