AI startups captured over 50% of venture funding in 2025: Report
Artificial intelligence (AI) startups are on track to capture more than half of total annual venture capital funding for the first time in 2025, according to a report by CB Insights.
The report highlighted that AI companies raised 51% of the total funding in 2025 so far, signaling a historic shift in investor focus toward the sector.
The report stated, “AI companies captured 51% of total venture funding in 2025 so far — putting 2025 on pace for the first year ever where AI startups claim most of the funding.”
