Facebook rolls out new Meta AI photo suggestion feature that allows its AI suggest edits to photos on your phone — even when you haven’t shared

Meta has launched a new AI-powered feature for Facebook, allowing its AI to suggest creative edits for unposted photos in users’ camera rolls. The feature, now available to all users in the US and Canada, was announced on Friday and offers opt-in sharing suggestions for posting AI-edited photos to Facebook Feeds and Stories. “We’re introducing a new Facebook feature that surfaces photos and videos and suggests fun edits and collages, making it easier to share your favorite moments,” said the company in a post.

Initially tested in June, the feature prompts users with a permission dialog to allow cloud processing of camera roll images.
