Once spectrum prices are fixed, Satcom rollout hinges on companies: Scindia
New Delhi: Start of satcom services in India will depend on the execution strategy of companies as to how quickly they roll out after the spectrum pricing is finalised, communications minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said on Thursday.
Three firms-Eutelsat OneWeb, Jio Satellite and Starlink-have secured permits and are gearing up to launch satcom services. The government, however, is yet to allocate spectrum to them.
