IMC 2025: Vodafone Idea says AI-led security systems flagged over 600 mn spam, scam calls, messages

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (Vi) on Wednesday launched the “Vi Protect” offering, which combines India’s third-largest telecom carrier’s consumer, network, and enterprise safety and security measures under one umbrella.

The telco launched an artificial intelligence (AI)-based “Voice Spam Detection” system and AI-driven “Network Defence and Incident Response” system for its core network, under Vi Protect, at the ongoing India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025.
