IMC 2025: PLI for telecom results in ₹91,000 crore worth of production, 30,000 new jobs, says Scindia
NEW DELHI: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government’s ambitious production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme for telecom equipment manufacturing has led to ₹91,000 crore in production, ₹18,000 crore worth of exports, and the creation of 30,000 new jobs, Union Minister of Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia said on Wednesday.
“The Prime Minister’s resolve with the PLI scheme today has resulted in close to ₹91,000 crore of new production, ₹18,000 crores of exports, and the creation of 30,000 new jobs. India, today, is a product nation, distinct from being a service nation,” Scindia said at the inaugural of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025.
