Kevin Vaz, Chairman of FICCI’s Media & Entertainment Committee, has called for a lighter regulatory framework for India’s broadcasting sector, saying that excessive rules have increased costs and restricted innovation.
He said the industry needs a more flexible approach that promotes competitiveness and growth through self-regulation and global best practices.
