Karnataka: Shivamogga villagers boycott socio-economic survey over no BSNL connectivity; issue 3 day ultimatum

BENGALURU: Villagers from Baruru, Kallukoppa, Teppagodu, and Mulukeri in Sagar Taluk have boycotted the socio-economic survey of Karnataka until the government-owned BSNL network connects their villages.

Despite being only 70 kilometres from the district headquarters and not located in remote hillsides or forest areas, the villages remain unconnected. The villagers protested two days ago, prompting Sagar Tahasildar Rashmi Halesh to visit the site and assure coordination with BSNL officials.
