India’s media and entertainment (M&E) industry has grown into a ₹2.5 trillion (₹2.5 lakh crore) powerhouse employing nearly 2.8 million people, with its roots tracing back to the launch of Zee TV in 1992, which ushered in the era of private satellite television.
Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (ZEE), which pioneered the space, on Wednesday marked 33 years of operations, calling the milestone a turning point for both the company and the industry.
