Vodafone Idea appoints new CFO amid cash crunch

Mumbai: Vodafone Idea has named Tejas Mehta as its new chief financial officer, effective October 6, 2025, amidst the loss-making telco’s efforts to raised debt in a bid to continue its 4G and 5G network expansion.

Mehta will succeed Murthy GVAS, who will step down from the role on October 5, 2025. The appointment was approved by Vodafone Idea’s Board of Directors during its October 3 meeting, following recommendations from the Audit Committee and Nomination and Remuneration Committee, the telco said in a stock exchange filing Friday.
