Google warns of attacks on corporate executives; extortion emails linked to cl0p

Alphabet’s Google has warned that hackers are sending extortion emails to executives at several organizations, reports news agency Reuters. The hackers, as per the report, are claiming to have stolen sensitive data from Oracle business applications. In a statement, the tech giant said the messages are part of an ongoing campaign by a group that has linked itself to the cl0p ransomware gang. While cl0p is known for large-scale cyberattacks, Google said it has not yet confirmed the authenticity of the latest claims.
