India bans Real Money Games

The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025, passed by the Parliament on August 21, which has received Presidential assent on August 22, 2025, has been notified as a law on that date. It marks a landmark move to shield citizens from the menace of online money games while promoting and regulating other kinds of online games.
