My favourite ChatGPT feature so far: Sam Altman introduces user insights tool Pulse
OpenAI has introduced a new feature for ChatGPT called Pulse, which is designed to provide users with daily personalised updates based on their interests and recent activity. Sam Altman, the CEO of the Microsoft-backed AI startup, announced the feature on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), calling Pulse his “favourite feature of ChatGPT so far.” The tool works overnight, curating information from recent chats, stated preferences, and connected apps, and then delivers a tailored set of updates to users each morning. Altman compared the feature to treating ChatGPT “like a super-competent personal assistant,” noting that it becomes more effective as users share more about their interests or goals. Pulse is currently available exclusively to Pro subscribers.
