RailTel’s Noida data center to open in 18 months; plans expansion in other cities: Sanjai Kumar
NEW DELHI: RailTel, a ‘Navratna’ public sector undertaking (PSU), said it expects to commence operations at its Noida data center facility in the next 18 months and will gradually scale the capacity as per bandwidth demand.
“The construction for our data center in Noida is already starting, and maybe in the next 18 months, we will be beginning with a 5 megawatt (MW) capacity. Later on, we will expand it to 10MW and even more,” Sanjai Kumar, chairman and managing director (MD) of RailTel, told ETTelecom in an interview, at the sidelines of a recent VMware event.
