Nokia bags deal from Microscan to upgrade optical network in western India

NEW DELHI: Homegrown internet service provider (ISP) Microscan Infocommtech has awarded an optical network upgradation deal to Finnish telecom gear maker Nokia in Mumbai and Pune cities to serve the surging demand for bandwidth from enterprises, over-the-top (OTT) providers, financial institutions and hyperscalers.

The deal will also support Microscan’s expansion into Gujarat, the companies said in a joint statement on Wednesday.
