T-Mobile’s Srini Gopalan: Dylan fan, runner, and an unpretentious leader
An obsessive runner, a Bob Dylan fan, and a walking sports almanac – that’s how friends describe Srini Gopalan, the newly appointed chief executive of US telecom major T-Mobile.
Gopalan, a telecom industry veteran who consistently climbed the corporate ladder, remains grounded in old passions on the personal front, according to his friends.
“There are no two sides to him, what you see is what you get,” said Shubhajit Sen, former CMO of Micromax who has known Gopalan since they were quizzers in Delhi’s school circuit.
