Vi plans satellite services for 2026, advances 5G and anti-fraud tools
Vodafone Idea (Vi) expects to enter space-based cellular broadband networks by mid-2026 as its partner AST Spacemobile awaits government licensing, a senior official said.
Vodafone Idea chief technology officer Jagbir Singh said the telco’s 5G deployment across 29-30 cities in 17 circles has led to a 25-30% increase in total data traffic volume boosted by growing 5G device adoption.
