Check Point to acquire Lakera in $300 mn deal to deliver cybersecurity for agentic AI

NEW DELHI: Global cybersecurity firm Check Point Software Technologies on Wednesday said it is acquiring Lakera, an artificial intelligence (AI)-native startup that provides security platforms for agentic AI, in a deal valued at $300 million (~₹2,490 crore).

The deal, which is expected to close in Q4 2025, will boost Check Point’s capabilities to deliver an end-to-end AI security stack. Upon closing, Lakera will form the foundation of the NASDAQ-listed company’s “Global Center of Excellence for AI Security”, according to a joint statement.
