Google Maps down, faces outage in some regions; mobile users struggle to access maps and directions

Google Maps is currently experiencing an outage affecting users in several regions, with many unable to fully load maps or retrieve directions on mobile devices. According to Downdetector, over 4,000 reports of issues have been filed. Google’s Status Dashboard, as of 2:12 PM ET, indicated that the company is investigating problems with the Maps SDK for Android and iOS, as well as the Navigation SDK.
