Smartphone sales will likely remain lacklustre this festive season, according to industry trackers who cut forecasts of annual shipments for 2025 citing a dearth of organic demand drivers.

Brands, on their part, have started releasing price discount offers for the festive season earlier than the norm, increasing the discount period, in a desperate attempt to entice buyers, executives said.
