After Google and Amazon, Microsoft offers discounted cloud services to US government
Microsoft has offered to provide the US General Services Administration (GSA) discount for its cloud services with $3.1 billion in potential savings over one year and $6 billion over 3 years. This agreement on cloud services used by various government agencies is part of a broader push by the GSA to aggregate spending and secure lower prices through a strategy known as OneGov, which was initiated following President Donald Trump’s return to the White House in January. The discounts apply to a wide range of Microsoft’s products, including its Office productivity subscriptions, Azure cloud infrastructure, Dynamics 365 business applications, and Sentinel cybersecurity software.
