Escalating trade tensions under US President Donald Trump’s tariff regime have created deep uncertainty for the global semiconductor industry, said CS Chua, president and managing director of German chipmaker Infineon Technologies Asia Pacific. In an interview to ET, he described the situation as “too fluid” for companies to make firm plans, warning that without clear government-to-government agreements, semiconductor firms would be unable to confidently respond.
