Ashwini Vaishnaw: Jobs in electronics manufacturing sector reach 25 lakhs
NEW DELHI: Union Minister of Electronics & IT Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Friday that India’s fledgling electronics manufacturing sector today employs over 25 lakh people.
“I would also like to share with you that as of today, the electronics manufacturing sector is employing about 2.5 million people in the country. These people work in the manufacturing of laptops, servers, mobile phones, and routers,” Vaishnaw said.
He was speaking at the inauguration of Optiemus’ facility for manufacturing Corning-engineered, RhinoTech-branded tempered glass screen protectors.
