Hyderabad-based wellness firm duped of Rs 1 crore in luxury watch fraud
Hyderabad: The cybercrime police of Hyderabad have booked a case against a man who allegedly duped a city-based wellness company of nearly ₹1 crore in the name of delivering an ultra luxury wristwatch.
The complaint was lodged by UR Life Lifestyle Wellness Limited (earlier known as Lifetime Wellness Rx International Ltd), Jubilee Hills. The firm alleged that it paid ₹99.67 lakh in three instalments between April 18, 2023, and Aug 9, 2023, to an individual claiming to represent Johnson Watch Company. The money was transferred from the company’s ICICI Bank account to the purported dealer’s HDFC Bank account.
