Reliance forms ₹855 crore JV with Meta, partners Google Cloud to boost AI adoption
NEW DELHI: Reliance Industries (RIL) is setting up a wholly-owned subsidiary, Reliance Intelligence, to exponentially boost the artificial intelligence (AI) adoption nationwide. It has partnered with Google Cloud and formed a joint venture (JV) with Facebook-owner Meta Platforms Inc to this extent.
Under the terms of the JV agreement, RIL and Meta have jointly committed to an initial investment of ~₹855 crore (~$100 million) to capitalise in a ratio of 70% and 30%, respectively. The closing of the transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025
