NEW DELHI: London-headquartered telco group GSMA has recommended India’s Department of Telecommunications (DoT) not to consider direct assignment of IMT (mobile services) spectrum to enterprises directly for captive non-public network (CNPN) network needs.
It, however, said the regulatory framework should strengthen a telco-led model for setting up CNPNs, such as through spectrum leasing and network slicing, as the “primary and preferred ways for enterprise connectivity requirements”.
