Rising deglobalisation puts self-reliance in spotlight: Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani
NEW DELHI: The Minister of State for Communications and Rural Development, Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, Monday said that due to ongoing deglobalisation, the role of ‘Atmanirbharta’ (self-reliance) has become more significant than ever, and said that the government’s ambition is to take homegrown 4G and 5G to a global stage.
“Deglobalisation is happening. The role of Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India) is even greater today,” Pemmasani said, adding that the state-run Centre of Development of Telematics (C-DoT) has become the world’s fifth enterprise to have 4G and 5G at the same time.
