Oppo responds to Apple’s lawsuit over alleged trade secret theft, says ‘no evidence establishing any connection’

Apple recently filed a lawsuit against its former Apple Watch engineer Dr. Chen Shi and Chinese smartphone maker Oppo for stealing trade secrets. Oppo has now responded to the lawsuit. A spokesperson for Oppo has shared a statement with MacRumours stating that there is no “connection between these allegations and employee’s conduct”. Here’s what the Oppo spokesperson said:

“We are aware of the recent lawsuit filed by Apple in California and have carefully reviewed the allegations in Apple’s complaint. We have found no evidence establishing any connection between these allegations and the employee’s conduct during his employment at Oppo.
