Elon Musk open-sources Grok 2, bets on xAI to outpace Google
Tech billionaire Elon Musk said on Sunday that his artificial intelligence startup xAI has open-sourced its chatbot Grok 2, and confirmed that Grok 3 will also be made open source within six months.
Musk shared plans earlier this month to open-source Grok 2 on the microblogging site X. The repository contains the weights of Grok 2, a model trained and used at xAI in 2024, licensed under the Grok 2 Community License Agreement.
