Airtel down: Thousands of users report facing issues with making, internet data

Airtel customers are experiencing a service outage. Thousands of subscribers have reported disruptions with their mobile voice and data services. Some users have also complained about signal interruptions and even total blackouts. According to the outage tracking website Downdetector, reports of issues began around 10.44 am on Sunday. The problems peaked at 12.14 pm when over 7,000 users reported facing issues with making calls or accessing the internet. We at the TOI Tech Desk also encountered some problems with using Airtel’s data services, but faced no issues with calling. This is the second time in a week when Airtel’s services went down, following service disruptions that affected thousands of users on August 19. Last week, more than 3,500 Airtel users complained about experiencing network issues.
