Mission-critical communications strategically important for India, global community : TRAI’s AK Lahoti

NEW DELHI: Mission-critical communications has become strategically important for India and the global community against the backdrop of rising natural calamities, said a senior official of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on Friday.

“This subject carries immense strategic importance for both India and the global community as we navigate an era of rising climate vulnerabilities leading to natural disasters, challenges related to communications in managing urban environments and the increasingly complex security situations,” said AK Lahoti, chairman, TRAI, said at an event on this theme jointly organised by the Broadband India Forum (BIF) and The Critical Communications Association (TCCA).
