On August 11, 2025, the Standing Committee on Finance, chaired by Bhartruhari Mahtab, presented its Twenty-Fifth Report titled “Evolving Role of Competition Commission of India in the Economy, Particularly the Digital Landscape.” This report, prepared after extensive deliberations with the Competition Commission of India (CCI) and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), marks a pivotal moment in India’s regulatory evolution.
