Centre approves ₹6,982 crore for BSNL capex in 2025: Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani

NEW DELHI: The Central government has approved ₹6,982 crore as an additional capital expenditure (Capex) for state-controlled telecom carrier Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) in 2025, the Parliament was informed on Thursday.

This is in addition to the support of ₹3.22 lakh crore provided to BSNL in various tranches, including a ₹69,000 crore revival package in 2019, followed by ₹1.64 lakh crore in 2022, and allotment of 4G and 5G spectrum worth ₹89,000 crore in BSNL, Minister of State for Communications Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani said in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha.
