Rules for online gaming bill practically ready: IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw

The rules for implementing the online gaming bill are almost ready and will be released soon, union electronics and information technology minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Thursday. The bill is now headed for President Droupadi Murmu’s assent. Justifying the decision to ban real-money gaming, Vaishnaw said the harm from it would have surpassed that caused by drugs.
