OpenAI’s chief people officer Julia Villagra exits; company sends internal message

OpenAI’s chief people officer Julia Villagra is leaving the AI company, reports news agency Reuters. As per the report, Villagra is exiting to pursue her personal passion of using art, music and storytelling to help people understand the transition to artificial general intelligence. OpenAI has sent an internal Slack message informing the employees about her departure. It says that Julia Villagra is leaving to “pursue a passion she’s developed at OpenAI; using art, music, and storytelling to help people better understand the transition to AGI.” For the unaware, AGI or Artificial General Intelligence is the idea of creating a machine with human-level intelligence (or beyond), capable of general understanding and independent decision-making.
