Centre approves SiCSem, CDIL, 3DGS, ASIP Technologies ’ semicon proposals worth ₹4,600 crore

NEW DELHI: The Union Cabinet on Tuesday approved proposals of SiCSem, Continental Device India Limited (CDIL), 3D Glass Solutions (3DGS), and Advanced System in Package (ASIP) Technologies, worth ₹4,600 crore, to set up semiconductor manufacturing facilities in Odisha, Punjab and Andhra Pradesh.

Chennai-based SiCSem and American 3DGS have proposed to invest ₹2,066 crore and ₹1,943 crore, respectively, to set up facilities in Odisha, while CDIL will invest ₹117 crore to expand its existing unit in Mohali, and ASIP Technologies would invest ₹468 crore in Andhra Pradesh.
