RailTel shares jump 3% on receiving Rs 166.38 crore work order from BSNL

RailTel Corporation of India shares jumped 3.3% to their day’s high of Rs 365.50 on the BSE on Monday, August 4, after the company announced that it has received an advance work order worth Rs 166.38 crore (including tax) from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).
In a regulatory filing, RailTel informed that the order is for services and falls under the scope of domestic contracts. The nature of the order is service-based and will be executed over a period ending on July 31, 2028. The work order was officially received on August 1.
