Govt awards Rs 792 crore PAN 2.0 project to LTI Mindtree, rollout likely in 18 months

The central government has awarded the PAN 2.0 project of the Income Tax Department to LTI Mindtree Ltd for a contract value of Rs 792 crore, according to people familiar with the development.

The project is scheduled to go live within the next 18 months, reported PTI citing an official.

PAN 2.0 will serve as a unified, digital-first platform to manage all matters related to Permanent Account Number (PAN) and Tax Deduction and Collection Account Number (TAN). This includes allotment, updates and corrections, Aadhaar-PAN linking, re-issuance, and online PAN validation. It aims to improve service delivery and streamline grievance redressal processes.
