Amazon CEO Andy Jassy struck a more optimistic tone about artificial intelligence’s impact on workers during the company’s July 31 earnings call, months after warning that AI would lead to fewer jobs across the tech giant’s 1.5 million-person workforce.“AI will make all our teammates’ jobs more enjoyable,” Jassy said, emphasizing that the technology would free employees from “rote” functions that previously couldn’t be automated.
