WinZO flags concerns over Google plea with CCI

A day after the Competition Commission of India (CCI) invited public comments on the commitment application by Google, Indian gaming platform WinZO on Thursday raised concerns over the terms of the tech giant.

In a statement, WinZO said Google proposes to rely on select “recognised third parties” such as industry bodies to certify games as “skill-based”. “These entities represent fantasy sports and rummy categories that have historically benefited from Google’s selective pilot programme.”
