‘Airtel Africa logs jump in Q1FY26 profits on improvements in operational performance, Francophone Africa’
New Delhi: Airtel Africa’s sharp jump in revenue and net profits in Q1 FY26 came as a result of an improved operational performance across key regions such as Nigeria, which also saw the full impact of recent tariff adjustments, along with a margin improvement in Francophone Africa, analysts said.
Bharti Airtel’s Africa business reported a 25% on-year growth in revenues on a constant currency basis to $1.41 billion, while net income grew nearly 20% to $156 million, in the quarter ended June, beating analyst estimates.
