India-UK FTA: Zero Duty on Smartphones, Optical Fibre, and Inverters
New Delhi, Jul 24 (PTI) India’s electronics sector received a significant boost on Thursday as exports of smartphones, optical fibre cables, and inverters to the United Kingdom will now attract zero import duty under the newly signed Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
The pact is expected to enhance the export potential of Indian software firms, with IT and IT-enabled services also included in the trade list.
