Govt mulls to extend deadline for electronics component manufacturing scheme
The government is likely to extend the July 31 deadline for submitting applications under its Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS), a senior official said on Thursday.
“We have received healthy response and are considering extending the deadline by a few days,” the official said.Launched on May 1, the ECMS is part of the government’s broader strategy to reduce import dependency and strengthen India’s domestic electronics manufacturing ecosystem.
